Two American embassy officials today met UP BJP general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak and discussed with him various issues and policies of the Yogi Adityanath government.
"Branden Young, North India Coordinator in the US Embassy and Robin Bansal Cultural Affairs Specialist, North India office in the Embassy met Pathak at the party headquarters here, and discussed various decisions of the Adityanath government," a spokesperson said in a statement.
Some of the issues discussed include anti-Romeo squad, ban of illegal slaughter houses, women empowerment, women safety, employment, development and other programmes of the UP government.

Pathak told the visiting officials that though the BJP has got an overwhelming mandate in the Assembly elections, but it will work on the consensus model.
He also said that the police has been freed from political pressure.
Emphasising on 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' - the basic mantra of the Adityanath government, Pathak said "The endeavour of the UP government has been to make the state a 'fear-free and crime-free' state.
"The government wants to make UP a leading state in terms of development, industry and education. Putting a curb on corruption is also a priority of the state government.
