Two-wheeler rally by women to create awareness on voting

As part of its drive to create awareness among women voters of the need to exercise their fundamental right, electoral authorities today organised a two-wheeler rally which had participation by the fairer sex.

District Collector Archana Patnaik speaking to reporters after flagging off the rally here, said the authorities were working to ensure 100 per cent voting and enthusing women to cast their ballot.

Archana said one best short film for creating awareness among the voters would be selected during a function to be held soon and the selected would be screened at various locations.

The women who participated in the rally covering nearly three kms were holding placards, reading "right to vote is a right of every woman".
