Three people, including two women, were killed and five others injured today when a jeep rammed into a container truck parked along the roadside in Amer police station area, police said.
The accident occurred near the Jaipur Golden petrol pump on Jaipur-New Delhi (NH-8) when a jeep going to Goner from Chandwa Ji rammed into a stationary container truck along the roadside after killing Sitaram Meena (60), Nanki Devi (60) and Lakshma Devi (65), investigating officer in the case Ranjeet Singh said.
He said that five injured were referred to SMS Hospital, Jaipur, for treatment.
The passengers in the jeep were on the way to attend a function in Goner. Family members of the deceased were informed and post mortem will be done after they reach Jaipur, he added.
