Two women were arrested today at the railway station here in connection with a recent case of robbery of Rs 50 lakh in the city, police said.
Constable Jawahar Singh noticed that two women who were about to board a train were behaving in a suspicious manner. On checking their luggage it was found that they were carrying nearly Rs three and half lakh of stolen money, police said.
During interrogation the two revealed that they had helped a gang of robbers who had on September 26 robbed the house of a leading medical practitioner of this city in the Civil lines area.
On the information provided by the two ,another person who works in a shop adjoining the victim's house was also arrested.
Police is now searching for the domestic help who turned out to be the master mind behind the robbery. Hunt is also on for three other persons involved in the case.
