Two women gangraped in Bihar

In a shocking incident, two women, including a Dalit, were gangraped today in Bihar's Begusarai district, police sources said.

A 30-year-old Dalit woman lodged an FIR under sections of the SC/ST Act and other provisions of the law alleging that she was gangraped by three persons in Mushari tola this morning when she had gone in field to attend to nature's call, the sources said.

In the FIR, the victim has charged the village sarpanch Sanaullah, Ravindra Yadav and Rajendra Yadav with perpetrating gangrape on her, they said adding that the woman has been taken to a hospital for medical check-up.
 

An investigation was going on in the matter and the victim's statement has been recorded under section 164 of the CrPC, the sources said adding that raids were being carried out to nab the accused persons.

In another case, a 24-year-old married woman has accused two men of raping her in Mohanpur village under Dandari police station area while she too had gone to a field to attend to nature's call, the sources said.
