Two women were allegedly raped at separate places in Haryana, police said today.

A 19-year-old woman, a resident of Yamunanagar district, was going to a shop yesterday when a 17-year-old boy forcibly took her to a field on a motorcycle and raped her, they said.

The victim said that another person had also sexually assaulted her. The accused also threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about it, DSP Usha said over phone.

"The accused minor has been apprehended and sent to a juvenile home. We are investigating the involvement of another person," she said.

In a separate incident, on the intervening May 31 and June 1, an 18-year-old woman, who was sleeping at her home in Ambala district, was allegedly abducted on knife point by a youth, who took her to his home and raped her.

After committing the crime the accused threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about it and threw her out of his home, police said.

After the woman narrated the incident to her parents a police complaint was lodged.

The woman's family has alleged that she was not given proper treatment at the health centre where she was initially taken. Later, she was taken to the civil hospital in Ambala Cantonment.

The latest incidents come close on the heels of two horrific incidents of rape in Haryana last month.

While the body of a 23-year-old woman, who had been gang-raped and murdered, was found on the outskirts of Rohtak, a 26-year-old was gang-raped in a moving car in Gurgaon and abandoned in a semi-conscious state near her house.
