Two women were allegedly raped by some men in a moving car, which they hired, in this satellite town, police said today.

Five persons have been arrested. There are two more accused who have been identified but are yet to be arrested, they said.

According to Police Commissioner Alok Mittal, the two women, who worked in a pub here, had hired the taxi for Rs 300 from MG Road last night to be dropped at Delhi.

Some of the accused took the car to Gurgaon-Faridabad road and were joined by other accomplices. It was here that the women were raped by two of them, he said.

The women somehow managed to escape from the spot and informed the Police Control Room at about 2:15 AM using the mobile phone of a security guard on duty in a nearby apartment complex.

The five arrested accused have been identified as -- Devinder, Pramod, Satish, Harees Khan and another Devinder. While Khan belongs to Mewat district, all the other are from Mahendargarh district in Haryana, Mittal said.

One of the Devinders is a helper while the other four are taxi drivers. The men, in the age group of 22-45 years, were living in a rented house in Nathupur village, he added.

An FIR has been registered under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC and a manhunt launched to nab the absconding accused.

While the taxi in which the crime was committed is still to be recovered, police have impounded another car used in the incident, Mittal said.

Both the women have children, he said, adding that their medical examination has confirmed rape.
