Two women school teachers were killed when the scooter they were riding collided with an auto-rickshaw near Dandamukundapur in Odisha's Puri district on Saturday, police said.
The head-on collision took place near Dandamukundpur when the two were proceeding to local Pitabasa UG ME School where both were working, the police said.
The deceased were identified as Snehalata Sahu (42) and Subhalaxmi Parida, they said.
The two were immediately rushed to hospital where the doctors declared them dead, police said.
Police reached the spot and seized the auto-rickshaw. A case was registered and investigation was on.
