'Two women suffering from heightend heartbeat s'fully treated'

: A private hospital here today claimed to have successfully treated two women suffering from heightened heartheat (Supra Ventricular techie Cardia) resulting in giddiness and gasping.

Renowned cardiologist Dr Arunachalam who performed the operation said they were treated through Radio Frequency Ablation treatment at Shifa hospital here.

The two women from Tuticorin district, aged 49 and 43, had heartbeats ranging from 180 to 240 against the normal of 60 to 100 per minute. They also suffered from 'short circuit' in the Heart.

The patients were given radio frequency ablation treatment through ablator equipment, administered injection to the femoral artery to the heart through catheters. Through this method, the factors responsible for irregular heart beat was rectified and they were discharged a day after treatment, he said.
 

The women were advised not to take any medicines, he said.
