Two-year-old crashes dad's Mercedes in Berlin

A two-year-old German boy crashed his father's Mercedes after stealing the keys while his dad was asleep and managing to start the car.

The boy, called Mirancan, from Lichtenrade area of Berlin, took the car keys while his father was sleeping.

The toddler even took a stool with him to the lift so he could reach the buttons.

He managed to unlock the car with the remote control key fob and started up the vehicle which had been left in first gear.

According to 'The Local', the incident happened over the weekend and witnesses reported seeing the silver Mercedes estate shoot out from its parking space and hit a post.
 

"Only when witnesses looked into the car did they see the little boy squatting on the driver's seat," a police spokesman told a German tabloid.

Nobody was injured in the crash.
