With their arrest, police claimed to have solved two robbery cases and a case of culpable homicide. The arrested have been identified as 28-year-old Afzal, a proclaimed offender, and Vicky (23).

"They used to target music groups which often travel late night," DCP (South) Chhaya Sharma said.

The arrests were made in east Delhi's Trilokpuri on December seven.

"During this period, a tip-off was received that a person who is involved in a culpable homicide was in the locality planning to commit a robbery. A raid was conducted and we arrested the duo. They were waiting for their associates," Sharma said.

The wife of one of their associates is a member of a musical group, the DCP said.

"They used to go in a car, chase the group's cabs and target them at isolated place. They were planning to rob a musical group. Two of their associates are at large," Sharma said.

Afzal is allegedly involved in 40 cases of theft, snatching and robbery. Vicky has been allegedly involved in seven criminal cases, including a robbery case.
