Two youths were killed when the LPG tanker in which they were travelling caught fire on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway last evening, police said today.
Bilar police said the tanker was on its way from Gujarat to Mumbai. At Talwada, on Maharashtra-Gujarat border, the tanker overturned while trying to avoid hitting a scooter-rider in the front, and caught fire.
Govind Dhanade (25) of Patilpada and Deepak Valvi (21) of Paraspada in the district were trapped inside the driver's cabin and were killed. The driver managed to jump out and ran away, police said.
