Two youths killed over 'old enmity' in Punjab

Two youths were allegedly killed and another was seriously injured by unidentified persons near Budhsinghwala village in the district with police suspecting that an old enmity may have led to the incident.

The incident took place last night when the victims riding a motorcycle were hit by an SUV leading to an altercation between them and the accused persons, police said.

During the verbal spat the youths were hit with sharp edged weapons and baseball bat by the SUV occupants, leading to the death of two, they said.

The deceased have been identified as Gurpreet Singh (24) and Gursewak Singh (25) of Alamwala village, while the injured Rinku has been hopitalised, police said.
 

A case has been registered and investigation is on, police said, adding that hunt is on to nab the accused.
