Two youth were shot dead
while two others critically injured after a man allegedly opened fire over a dispute at village Pale Chakk in Guruharsahai sub-division here today, the police said.
The deceased have been identified as Beant Singh (20) and Lakhwinder Singh (21), who were counsins, they said.

According to the police, Beant had gone to a fair at village Golu Ka Mour along with his family members yesterday evening where he allegedly had heated a argument with a person who hailed from the same village.
The argument took an ugly turn and the family members of Beant were injured and had to be admitted in the civil hospital at Guruharsahai. A complaint was filed at Guruharsahaipolice station yesterday night only, the police said.
"Today morning, both groups again started arguing. One of the men from the rival group opened fire at Beant with his .12 bore gun. Beant died on the spot. His cousin Lakhwinder who was also present there, was also hit and he too, died on the spot. Two others Baljinder Singh and Armandeep Singh were critically injured," a police official said.
SSP Ferozepur, Gaurav Garg said that the incident took place due to a "family dispute" while ruling out any other angle to it.
Garg said that the case has been registered against eleven persons including the main accused and culprits would be arrested soon.
