U'khand chief secy reviews preparations for PM's visit on Yoga Day

Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh today reviewed preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's forthcoming visit to the state capital on June 21 to participate in the main national event on International Yoga Day.

The event will be held at Forest Research Institute (FRI) campus.

Reviewing the preparations at a meeting with departmental secretaries and heads at the secretariat today, the chief secretary said nobody should be allowed to enter the FRI campus without a pass.

He said that people should get themselves registered for the event offline or online well in advance to avoid any hassle.

Ayush Secretary R K Sudhanshu said 16 parking places has been earmarked outside the programme venue, where 50 toilets will be built.

 

More than 1,000 buses have been arranged for Dehradun, Haridwar and Rishikesh and a route chart has been prepared according to demand. It was decided in the meeting that rehearsal will be held with group leaders and nodals onJune 18, followed by a full rehearsal onJune 19.
