The decision to set up the panel was taken at a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna to lure big-ticket investment to Uttarakhand, Chief Secretary Alok Kumar Jain told reporters after the meeting.
The move is in line with a legislation passed during the Winter session of the state Assembly in December 2012 to create a single window clearance system for big investment projects in Uttarakhand, Jain said.
The cabinet recommended payment of revised salary and arrears to striking ANM workers from 1981 to 1995 and constitution of a three-member panel to look into their demand for salary and arrears after 1995.
The cabinet also decided to exempt popular adventure sports like river rafting and bungee jumping from entertainment tax.
It also decided to build an Uttarakhand guest house and emporium in Mumbai on the PPP (public-private partnership) mode.
