Uttarakhand government is exhorting the farmers in the state to take up medicinal farming as cultivating medicinal herb is a good agriculture alternative and there are immense opportunities in this field.
While speaking at the inauguration of a institute of ayurveda at Roorkee in Haridwar, Chief Minister Harish Rawat today said that India is known world over for its achievement in the field of ayurveda. There are immense opportunities for Uttarakhand, too, in this field.
He said his government was making efforts to popularise medicinal farming among farmers as it is a commercially successful venture.
