The Uttarakhand High Court today ordered an SIT to look into the Onida factory fire of 2012.

A single bench of Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia directed further investigation into the matter by an SIT redetermining the role of the owner and the manager in the incident.

The order came on a writ filed by the father of one of the victims alleging that IPS officer Kewal Khurana and IO Rajiv Dandaryal have wrongly acquitted company owner and his manager in the case.

The CBCID has already submitted its final report in the case.
