The top management and employees of the state-owned United Bank of India (UBI) would take out a silent march in the city tomorrow to create awareness about the rising levels of NPAs in the banking system.
The march would start at eight in the morning from Shyambazar in the north and then come to the head office through Hazra in south, the bank said in a statement today.
This is a unique way to create awareness about the impact of rising NPAs level and to sensitise the public to repay the loans on time and lessen the burden on the banks, the communique said.
UBI had been suffering huge NPA levels touching double digit figures.
