Accusing Udayan Guha, who has switched over from Forward Bloc to ruling Trinamool Congress, of betraying the masses, AIFB general secretary Debabrata Biswas today said it would not effect the party's strength in Coochbehar district of West Bengal.
"No one is bigger than the party and its ideologies. If oppurtunist people leave the party it is good for the party itself. He (Udayan Guha) has not only betrayed the party but has also betrayed the masses," Biswas told reporters.
"His switching over to TMC would only help AIFB consolidate its position in Coochbehar. None of the district committe members of AIFB has gone with him," Biswas said.
