The lone arrested Pakistani Lashker-e-Taiba terrorist in Wednesday's Udhampur terror strike Mohammed Naved Yakub was today brought here for questioning as investigators prepared to visit all the places he had mentioned during interrogation in Jammu.

Naved was brought to Kashmir by road as the helicopters failed to take off because of bad weather, official sources said.

The sources said 23-year-old Naved will be taken to all the places that he had mentioned during interrogation after he was overpowered by two of the three villagers he had taken as hostages.

Naved along with another terrorist Noman had on Wednesday ambushed a BSF convoy killing two constables. Noman was also killed in retaliatory fire.

Naved was taken to places where the encounter took place as well as 'Tamatar morh' where he spent Tuesday night after taking a truck from Kulgam in South Kashmir.

The NIA took over investigations last evening after the Centre issued notification asking the central probe agency to handle the probe and get evidences which could be presented to Pakistan. Naved has claimed that he hails from Faislabad area of Pakistan.

After undergoing training in two different modules with Lashker-e-Taiba terror group, Naved along with three others had entered into India through Baramulla in North Kashmir area by cutting the fencing.

During interrogation, he said that he had stayed at Tangmarg and Baba Reshi and shifted their base to Awantipura-Pulwama in South Kashmir where he remained inside a cave located on a hill side.

The group split into two and he along with Noman moved to Kulgam in South Kashmir from where they boarded a truck to Jammu on Tuesday morning and spent night at 'Tamatar morh' before carrying out attack on Wednesday.

A case under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Arms Act and various sections of Indian Penal Code has been registered against Naved and his accomplice.
