Ugandan national arrested with narcotic drugs

An Uganda national arrested and narcotic drugs worth Rs 6 lakh in the international market has been seized from his possession while he was trying to sell it, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, Women & Narcotics Squad of Central Crime Branch of the city police arrested him yesterday, an official release said.

It said 117 grams of cocaine worth about Rs 6 lakh in the international market was seized from him along with two mobile phones and Rs 135 in cash.

The accused has been booked under sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and Passport Act among others.
 

He had come to India on a medical visa through Mumbai, police said.
