The University Grants Commission (UGC) has sought details from colleges and Universities regarding the one-year LLM course being offered by them.
In a letter to Vice Chancellors, the UGC said that after the guidelines for one-year degree were framed in 2012, certain concerns regarding quality were expressed after which a committee was constituted.
The committee, it added, observed that by having two types of LLM courses - one of single year duration and another lasting two years - had created confusion.
