UGC seeks public cooperation in curbing ragging

Ahead of the next academic session, UGC has sought people's cooperation in curbing ragging and announced several competitions for general public, students and teachers on the theme.

In a public notice on its website, the higher education sector regulator sought cooperation in curbing the menace saying ragging is a criminal offence.

Among the competitions announced by the UGC on the theme of anti-ragging are a contest on poster designing, logo designing and an essay competition.
