Industrialists and entrepreneurs in England have evinced interest in investing in Bihar especially in the field of health, education and food processing, Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said here today.

"I met people associated with industries and their response was very good," Manjhi told reporters at Patna airport on his return here after a five-day tour of the UK.

Describing his UK tour as "most successful", he said a delegation of doctors have promised him to come here in October for opening a super speciality hospital.

"I also met educationists who showed eagerness in establishing a private university in the state," he said, adding, the state government under Nitish Kumar had principally approved opening private universities in Bihar.

"There is chance of opening up of 8-10 private universities in Bihar," he said.

Manjhi, who narrated Bihar's turnaround story in his key note address at the London School of economics, claimed that people in the UK expressed happiness over the fact that "Bihar has changed" which prompted them to invest here.

The Chief Minister said he saw a plant producing electricity from garbage in Buckhingam and the people associated with it evinced interest in coming to Bihar.

A host of Bihar ministers including Brishen Patel, Ramai Ram, Shrawan Kumar and Shyam Rajak welcomed Manjhi at Patna airport after his tour of the UK where he was accompanied by Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh and four other senior officers.

On a question related to break up of ties between BJP and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, Manjhi said "It's an internal matter of the BJP. It's their prerogative as with whom to forge an alliance or with whom to break ties."

To a question on Mahadalit families leaving from Tekari in his native Gaya district in the wake of killing of a Dalit, Manjhi said one of the four accused has been arrested and report has come about the rest three surrendering.

He said the killing was related to election of Primary Agriculture Committee.
