The Punjab Congress today demanded a judicial probe into the "mysterious" death of an eight-year-old British Sikh girl on April 2 at Khanna in Ludhiana district.
"The mysterious death/murder of Gurkiran Kaur, a UK national at a Ludhiana clinic on April 2, brings to fore the crumbled, shattered and very medieval type obsolete medical health care system of Punjab," Punjab Congress spokesman Sukhpal Singh Khaira said here.
As reported, Gurkiran Kaur who had visited Punjab to meet her grandmother, was brought for dehydration treatment at a private clinic in Khanna.

Khaira claimed that private commercial shops/hospitals have mushroomed in every nook and corner of the state. "There is no government supervision or control, over these private shops and these commercial hospitals fleece patients with impunity," he said.
Birmingham-born Gurkiren Kaur Loyal fell ill on a family holiday in Punjab last month and was being treated for dehydration at a clinic in Khanna, Punjab.
Her parents on Monday at London have alleged that medical staff at Khanna reportedly gave her a "mystery injection".
The mother of deceased, Amrit Kaur Loyal feared that her daughter may have been a victim of a failed attempt to harvest organs.
They have alleged that her body was later transferred to Rajendra Hospital in Patiala, where it is believed her organs were removed during a post-mortem.
