An Indian-origin teenager died "accidentally" when he was hit by a train as he fell on railway tracks in Birmingham, an inquest concluded.
Birmingham Coroners' Court was told how 18-year-old Jeevan Singh Dhanda fell from a bridge on to a concrete ledge then plunged 30-feet onto tracks at New Street Station in the city.
Dhanda, who was reportedly trying to re-enter a nightclub in the area, lay injured on the rail line for three hours before he was hit by a train leaving the station.

Dhanda was described as a "bright" student from Queen Mary's Grammar School in Walsall. He died just weeks before he had been due to start an economics degree at the University of Leeds.
Birmingham coroner Louise Hunt recorded a conclusion of accidental death.
"I am touched by the words his mother said in how bright and intelligent, and also how caring a young man he was. I hope you can always remember him that way and not in the tragedy that has occurred," she added.
Another youth, Hitesh Shirajlal was with Dhanda on the night of his death and fell from the same wall. The 31-year-old died on August 18 last year, a day after he had been discharged from the same hospital. An inquest into his death is scheduled for January 2015.
British Transport Police's Detective Constable Tim Friend gave evidence and showed CCTV footage of the night in court.
He said: "The reason they (Jeevan and a doorman) were going to the rear door is because he had been asked to leave because he was being sick.
"It's our hypothesis he thought he could climb that wall and find a way back into the club. It's not uncommon, there has been a similar instance since and it has happened before from speaking to staff at the club."
A consultant anaesthetist told the court that the injuries that killed Dhanda were inflicted not in the fall, but when he was hit by the train.
