UK's luxury footwear brand Church's will now be available in India, priced at up to Rs 72,000, following an exclusive distribution tie-up with multi-brand retailer Heel & Buckle.

"UK's iconic luxury footwear brand Church's is entering into India as a result of an exclusive distribution tie-up with Heel & Buckle. Churches will be available at Heel & Buckle's outlets," Heel & Buckle Managing Director of Heel & Buckle Dhiraj Bathija told PTI.

Heel & Buckle, luxury footwear multi-brand retailer, at present has three outlets in Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgaon.

Church's footwear will be available in the price range of Rs 20,000 to Rs 72,000. It will be retailed in India at the same price as outlets in the UK, Bathija said.

Heel & Buckle is looking at expanding its footprint and will open up to 12 outlets this year across the country and up to 120 Shop-in-Shops in the next 2-3 years.

"We are a niche footwear retailer. We are looking at expanding our presence in India. We plan to open 10-12 standalone outlets this year and we will open 100-120 Shop-in-Shops in the next 2-3 years," Bathija said.

Other brands in Heel & Buckle's portfolio include Alessandro, Magnanni, Rad Russel, Pazzion and Paco Gil.

The Church's brand was founded in 1873 in Northampton, England by Thomas Church and his three sons.

It is based on family experience in the production of handmade men's shoes since 1675.

In 1999, Church's was taken over by luxury firm, Prada Holding N.V.
