Rubbishing ruling Congress's allegations about step-motherly treatment of Uttarakhand by the Centre, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot today said development is stalled in the state as the state government is not able to spend central funds.
"In fact development is not taking place in Uttarakhand as the state government is not able to spend the funds allocated by the Centre.
All the talk about Centre's non-cooperation and non-allocation of fundsis a canard spread by the state government to cover up its own failures," Gehlot said addressing party workers at the BJP office here.
