A 42-year-old Ukraininan bound for India was held at the international airport here after two kg hashish, concealed in a chyawanprash bottle and shoes, was recovered from him, officials said today.

Olosky Lolanko was held at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) yesterday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of Nepal Police said.

Lolanko was taken into custody when he was about to board a flight to Mumbai from where he would have flown further to Ukraine, the Kathmandu Post quoted the NCB as saying.

He had concealed the contraband inside a bottle of 'chyawanprash', a herbal supplement, and some portion of it in his sports shoes which were kept in a suitcase, it added.

Further probe was underway.
