ULFA militant held

An ULFA militant, belonging to the anti-talk faction, was arrested today and ransom money worth Rs 15 lakh was seized from his possession, a senior police official said.

"The militant Kamal Bharali alias Ranjit Murah of Merapani in Golaghat district had been mediating between the ex-cadres and how to collect money to attract young drop-outs," Superintendent of Police Sanjukta Parasor said.

Bharali was arrested along with three surrendered ULFA militants, Parasor said.

Besides the money, the police has also seized seven mobile sets from them, the SP added.
