Two militants, an ULFA and one belonging to NSCN(K), have been apprehended by security forces during a joint operation in Assam's Tinsukia district today.
Police said the joint operation was launched at Ledo along Assam-Arunachal Pradesh following a tip-off last night by police and Assam Rifles personnel and the two militants were apprehended this morning.
The security forces recovered two 7.65 mm pistols and 22 rounds of live ammunitions, the police said.
Operations in the area are still on, the police added.
