The militant, Jayanta Gogoi alias Sarubhai (31) of the ULFA's Panchoi group (cultural wing), deposited a Chinese made grenade, several extortion notes and a memory chip of the banned outfit's propaganda songs.

Gogoi, hailing from Sibsagar district where ULFA was formed in , said he had joined the underground group in 2005 and since then working in its cultural wing.
