In an attack on security forces in Manipur, militants today attacked a small post of India Reserve Battalion (IRB) at Nungkao in Tamenglong district and took away nine sophisticated arms and ammunition, police said.
In the attack that took place at around 12 PM, the suspected hill based militants looted four SLRs, three INSAS rifle, one AK rifle and another automatic firearm and ammunition.
This is the fourth attack on security forces suspected to be carried out by the militants in the last three days.

Of these attacks, today's is the first incident in which weapons has been carried away.
However, unconfirmed reports said altogether 20 weapons were taken by the militants.
