Unable to repay loan, farmer snuffs out his life

Apparently unable to repay bank loan, a 62 year-old farmer allegedly committed suicide in a village here, police said.

Premchand Rajput allegedly shot himself dead with his country-made weapon last night in Bardar village in Anta area, SP Rakesh Shankar said.

Premchand had taken loan from a bank but was unable to repay it because of bad harvest, family members said.

The bank had recently sent a notice for recovery of loan, they said.
