Ashish (35) hanged himself from the roof at his residence in Mahui village this afternoon, they said.
Pawan, brother of the farmer, said Ashish had taken a loan of Rs 1.5 lakh from money lenders and was unable to repay the same due to poor production.
He said the moneylenders were pressing Ashish to repay the loan due to which he was under acute depression.
