Election officials today seized unaccounted cash to the tune of Rs 3.54 lakh from a flower vendor near here.
N Murugesan, Returning Officer, Erode East Constituency told reporters here that the Erode East Constituency Static Surveillance Squad officials intercepted a two-wheeler during a vehicle check in Brahmana Periya Agraharam, near here and found Rs 3.54 lakh under the vehicle's seat.
The officials seized the cash as the two-wheeler rider did not possess valid documents and deposited it in the Treasury.
