Unaccounted cash to the tune of Rs 18 lakh was seized and three suspected hawala traders were arrested in this connection in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district, a police official said Wednesday.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided two places in Gol Pyau and Nagauri Garden areas and seized the money, he said.
Dhaiya Lal Prajapat (30) and Rangaram Prajapat (45) were arrested with cash worth Rs 11.50 lakh. The accused persons later told police about the location of their co-accused Narayan (46), the official said.
The police arrested Narayan and seized cash worth Rs 6.50 lakh from his possession, he said.
The Income Tax Department has been informed about the matter, which will further investigate the case, he added.
