Railway passengers found an unclaimed briefcase at the Uluberia and thinking that it might contain bombs immediately informed the police, the sources said.
The briefcase was immediately cordoned off by the police and the bomb disposal squad was informed.
The bomb disposal squad on opening the briefcase found some clothes were inside it, the sources added.
