Fifth seeded Rutuja Chaphalkar of Maharashtra upset second seeded Srujana Rayarala to enter the semis of the MSLTA-Yonex Sunrise under 14 national tennis tournament here today.
The bespectacled 13-year-old from Pune outsmarted second Rayarala 6-3, 7-6(0) of Telangana in 1 hour 20 mins to enter the last four.
She will now clash with another Telangana player Adithi Are, who upset fifteenth seeded Poorvi Bhatt of Uttar Pradesh 3-6, 7-5, 7-5.

In the Boys singles top seeded Krishan Hooda of Chandigarh outplayed seventh seeded Dhanya Shah of Gujarat 6-2, 6-2 to set up a semifinal clash with fourth seeded Aman Dahiya of Haryana who ousted fifth seeded Chirag Duhan also of Haryana 6-3, 6-1.
Pune lad Yashraj Dalvi came back from loss of first set to get past Anirudh Krishna of Haryana 5-7, 6-0, 6-2 and will now take on Assam boy Udit Gogoi who stopped state player Arjun Gohad 6-3, 6-3.
