An under-trial prisoner, who was undergoing treatment for dengue at the SCB Medical College and Hospital here, died on Monday.
Hospital sources said Rajendra Naik (35) of Chadragiri area in Rayagada district was admitted on Saturday after he was referred by the MKCG Medical College in Berhampur.
He was facing trial in a murder case, and lodged in the Rayagada jail after he was arrested in January this year.
After a bout of fever in the jail, Naik was shifted to Rayagada hospital on September 3.
With Naik's death, the SCB Medical College and Hospital registered its fourth dengue death this year.
