An undertrial allegedly tried to commit suicide by fiercely banging his head against the wall after being produced in a court here, police said today.
The undertrial, Umesh has been booked under Arms Act. He was produced in court today which sent him to five days police custody, they said.
On his way back to the police station, he wanted to use the washroom. While the cops were waiting outside, he started banging his head fiercely against the wall, police said.
He suffered from serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, they added.
