Undertrial dies in Jammu

A 60-year-old undertrial, facing murder charges, died of heart attack at a hospital here, police said Sunday.

Rattan Singh, a resident of Gurha Salathia village of Samba, was lodged at Amphalla jail in Jammu since 2009, they said.

The accused was suffering from Tuberculosis and was shifted to Government Medical College Saturday where he breathed his last after heart attack, they said.

They said the body was handed over to his family for last rites after post-mortem.
