An undertrial, lodged in the Central Jail here, today died of massive heart attack, police said.
Murugesan (48), hailing from Udumalpet in Tirupur district, was arrested in connection with an abduction a month ago, police said.
He suddenly developed chest pain around 2.30 AM and after first aid by jail staff, he was taken and admitted to the government hospital here, they said.
However, Murugesan, who had undergone heart surgery three years ago, died, police said.
