An undertrial fled after being presented at district court in Unnao following which two constables who had taken him to the court, were suspended, police said today.
Atik, an accused in more than half a dozen cases and who was lodged in the district jail here, fled yesterday, they said.
After being presented in the court, Atik was taken to Unnao to his friend's house whom he wanted to meet, police said, adding, he went inside the house while constables Govind Singh and Ramnaresh waited outside.

When Atik did not return after a long time, the constables searched for him and found that he fled from the back door of the house, police said.
They informed Unnao district police but the undertrial prisoner could not be traced.
Govind Singh and Ramnaresh were suspended and a case was registered against them on the orders of SSP Shalabh Mathur, police said, adding, they were being interrogated and a search is on to nab the absconding undertrial.
