An undertrial prisoner died during treatment in Kota district of Rajasthan today, police said.
48-year-old Bhanwar Lal was under judicial custody in Sangod jail in Kota on a theft charge. He fell sick last night and was admitted to a hospital where he died.
Postmortem of the body was conducted and an inquiry has been initiated in the matter, jail department sources said.
