Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi today said "uneducated women give birth to more kids" as they stay at home and are "not able to take their own decisions".
"Research shows that uneducated women are giving birth to more kids. Not that they are doing any crime, but they have more time than educated women, who go out to work. Uneducated women stay back at home and are not able to take their own decision," she said at an event here.
Addressing college students, Bedi said, "Weaker students come to engineering colleges due to reservation and are not ready for the course."

The former IPS officer attributed the problems arising in universities like JNU, HCU to "breakdown of communication between teachers and the administration".
"Why are there problem in universities? The problem at JNU and HCU can be seen from the management perspective as it is a breakdown of communication between teachers and administrator," she said.
"If there is no regular contact between teachers, Vice Chancellors, administration, then it causes problems. If there is a regular contact in a house, the problem does not go public and gets solved inside," Bedi said.
Exhorting students to to pay education loans on time, she said, "We have turned ungrateful. We ask parents that it is your job to give us shelter, food, and say that if (Vijay) Mallya (former liquor baron) did not pay his loan, then why should I? We should be grateful to the bank and repay loan on time," she said.

During her week-end visit to Thengaithittu village near
Puducherry, Bedi said her visit was in keeping with the promise she had given to a delegation of residents during a meeting they had with her at Raj Nivas on February 6.
The delegation had brought to her notice lack of civic amenities in their locality and she promised that she would be on a field visit to see for herself the hardships of the residents, a release from office of the Lt Governor said.
The former IPS officer issued on the spot orders to officials who accompanied her that there should be 'expeditious steps' to address the woes of the residents.
She also asked the municipality of Puducherry and also officials of the Swachta Corporation to educate local people on waste segregation and ensure removal of the segregated waste every day on a routine basis.
Bedi exhorted the youths of Thengaithittu during an interaction with them to form a Village youth Group to make representation of their requirements to government departments.
"Subgroups could also be formed by the youth to have sustained contact with the departments concerned for quick results," the release said.
She promised the residents that she would be on a visit again to the village in April to see for herself the progress of work and availability of civic amenities.
Bedi later visited the 'Jwala Home for Mentally challenged persons' at Murungapakkam village before returning to Raj Nivas.
