A 20-year-old youth committed suicide in Harsh Vihar colony of Sahibabad area here.
Locals informed the police about stench emanating from a house in Harsh Vihar Colony, SHO Sahibabad Upendra Yadav said adding that when policemen broke open the door they found the youth's body hanging from a ceiling fan today.
Kalu was alone at the house as his family members had gone to Aligarh to attend marriage ceremony, the SHO said, adding that no suicide note was found from the spot.
Later, the family reached the home and told the police that Kalu was unemployed and had become drug addict.
