A 23-year-old unemployed engineer allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at Gandhi Camp here, police said today.
Swarn Dass, a resident of Gandhi Camp here, said that his son Mukesh Kumar, an electronics engineer, was distressed as he could not find a suitable job following which he committed suicide last night, they said.
The body was handed over to the relatives after a post-mortem examination at civil hospital, police said, adding a case has been registered in this connection.
