The men were seriously injured when the gunmen shot them this afternoon at Arbab Karam Khan Road in Quetta, the capital of the restive Balochistan province.

They died while being taken to a nearby hospital, police said.

The attackers, who were riding a motorcycle, escaped after the shooting.

Police officials described the shooting as an incident of targeted killings.

Police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation though no arrests were made.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Balochistan has been rocked by ethnic and sectarian violence for the past few years.
